    For the Funding Facility for Stabilization, 2017 was a formative year. The expansion of the programme took place at an enormous rate, following the liberation of successive areas of Iraqi territory from ISIL control. In 2017 alone, 1287 projects were added to the FFS portfolio, complementing the 257 projects which were ongoing at the end of 2016.

    The second quarter of 2018 was one of achievement for the Funding Facility for Stabilization. Throughout the five governorates formerly subjected to ISIL occupation, the FFS continued to launch programs of varying scale and extent, according to need.

    Quarter One of 2018 marked a new phase for UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS). For the first time since the inception of the program, all territory had been liberated from the control of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the activities of the FFS were expanded accordingly.

  • Funding Facility for Stabilization Quarter III Report 2017

    By the end of the third quarter of 2017, UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) was undertaking 1,208 projects in 23 cities across five governorates in Iraq. Over one quarter of the projects were being implemented in the city of Mosul, which was fully liberated in July 2017.

    By the end of the second quarter of 2017, the Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) expanded its work with over 1,000 projects underway that support the Government of Iraq's efforts to stabilize 23 newly liberated areas.
