• Funding Facility for Stabilization Quarter I Report 2018

    Quarter One of 2018 marked a new phase for UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS). For the first time since the inception of the program, all territory had been liberated from the control of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and the activities of the FFS were expanded accordingly.

    By the end of the third quarter of 2017, UNDP’s Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) was undertaking 1,208 projects in 23 cities across five governorates in Iraq. Over one quarter of the projects were being implemented in the city of Mosul, which was fully liberated in July 2017.

    By the end of the second quarter of 2017, the Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) expanded its work with over 1,000 projects underway that support the Government of Iraq's efforts to stabilize 23 newly liberated areas.

    By the First Quarter 2017, the Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS) expanded its work to cover a total of 22 areas and increase the number of projects to over 500.
