The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Rule of Law Programme aims to promote effective delivery of responsive and accountable justice and security, protect people's rights, support post conflict recovery and foster development in Iraq.
Whilst the security environment in the country remains complex and challenging, this Programme was designed to respond to immediate justice and security needs, and to lay the foundations for long-term stability and development.
This Fast Facts sheet summarizes key areas of engagement and achievements in 2015.
Highlights
- 3000 SGBV survivors from the displaced populations benefited from legal aid services
- A National Security Strategy was endorsed by the Council of Ministers
