First ever crisis coordination and disaster preparedness centre in Kurdistan

The Kurdistan Ministry of Interior today launched its Joint Crisis Coordination Centre (JCC), which was established in Erbil in January. Several international donor partners and the United Nations extended support to the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to build an institutional response and coordination capacity not only to the on-going humanitarian and development crisis in Iraq, but also to future man-made and natural disasters in an ‘all hazards’ approach.
