At the end of quarter three, FFS had a total of 3,394 projects, an additional 257 projects since the end of the second quarter.

The first quarter of 2019 saw significant progress for the Funding Facility for Stabilization (FFS). By the end of the quarter, FFS had a total number of 3,159 projects across the five liberated governorates, of which 1,902 projects were completed, 435 under implementation, 174 being tendered and 648 under development. Although rates of return began to slow during the quarter, people were still returning home and at the end of February 2019, International Organization for Migration (IOM) estimated that 4,211,982 people had returned to their area of origin.

By the end of the second quarter, FFS had added an additional 267 projects in a three-month period, bringing the total number of projects to 3,137. Of these, 2,108 projects were completed, 314 under implementation, 153 tendering and 562 being developed. Work was ongoing in all five liberated governorates, with the highest number of projects taking place in Ninewa (1,858), followed by Anbar (796), Salah al Din (329), Kirkuk (122) and Diyala (32).
